Tough Mudder began in 2010 as an obstacle course inspired by the British Special Forces and the challenges they designed to test recruits. Participants race between 10 and 12 miles (or 16 and 19.3 km) in brutal and grimy conditions all to make the beer at the finish line taste that much better … and to test their strength, endurance, mental toughness, and so on.
The next Canadian stop on the Tough Mudder calendar is this weekend, June 22-23 in Whistler, the adventure sports haven of British Columbia. To give Tough Mudders a completely different slice of life, the luxurious Fairmont Chateau Whistler is offering a special package for the event’s competitors.
