The NHL is back!
All across Canada, hockey fans are rejoicing the return of the national obsession, whose 2013 season finally begins today. To celebrate the end of the NHL lockout and the arrival of pro hockey, the Westin Calgary is offering a package that includes accommodations and a pair of tickets to one of the Flames’ 24 home games.
The rates for the Calgary Flames Package begin at $341. Fans can catch Flames’ superstars Jarome Iginla and Miikka Kiprusoff in action against the NHL’s best, including games versus their arch-rivals from Edmonton (January 26 and April 1) and the Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings (February 20).
The Flames’ first home game at the Scotiabank Saddledome is tomorrow, Sunday, January 20, against the San Jose Sharks. You can find all the home games where the Westin offer is available on the hotel’s website and view the Flames’ full schedule on their website. The Westin, famous for being the place where the Caesar was invented, is less than three kilometres from the Saddledome.

While it’s good to have the NHL back, visitors to Calgary and Calgarians themselves were able to take in the city’s other entertainment offerings in recent months.
