vicky vacay deal of the day

$239 for an exquisite Langdon Hall stay

Travel Deal for September 14-15, 2013

vicky vacay deal of the dayFor the remainder of September, Langdon Hall is offering what may be the best deal in its history. The outstanding Relais & Chateaux property in Cambridge, Ontario has a Sunday night special that costs $239 and includes a full country breakfast for two.

That is a significant savings off the weekday price, which starts at $350 for a Monday stay and up to $435 for a Friday night getaway. Langdon Hall is 100 kilometres southwest of Toronto and occupies a 19th-century mansion that once belonged to the famed Astor family of the United States. The opulent property has been home to movie shoots and is recognized as one of Canada’s leading small hotels and fine-dining restaurants.

The Sunday offer is valid for the following 2013 dates: September 15, 22, and 29.

Vacay.ca Highly Recommends Langdon Hall

Not only has Langdon Hall ranked as the No. 2 restaurant in Canada for each of the first two years of the Vacay.ca Top 50 Restaurants in Canada Guide, it has also won wide acclaim as one of the finest boutique properties and spas in the nation. Vacay.ca Managing Editor Adrian Brijbassi has visited the country manor several times and praises its service, sophistication, class, and cuisine.

Brijbassi writes: “There really is no excuse not to visit Langdon Hall. It’s less than an hour’s drive from Toronto. It has a restaurant with a large, open terrace in the summer and a warm bar, and serves three meals a day, as well as afternoon tea and Sunday brunch. Lunch at Wilks’ Bar isn’t expensive, with a large plate of those fish and chips, made with pickerel, costing $24, and washed down nicely with a glass of 1898 Pale Ale, produced locally at Grand River Brewing Co. The beer, made especially for the mansion, is named for the year Langdon Hall was founded as a private estate for the grand-daughter of American business magnate John Jacob Astor. Dinner is pricey, but far from outrageous for the quality of food.”
