The 2013 Vancouver Pride Parade will take place on August 4, and the immaculate Loden Hotel is ready to get the party started!

To help kick off the festivities, the Loden is co-hosting the Pride Cocktail Kickoff today (July 25th, 2013) from 6-9 pm at the Loden Penthouse. Tickets for this event are $135. Guests will enjoy hand-crafted cocktails, wine, hors d’oeuvres and raffle prizes.

The Pride Cocktail Kickoff is in support of the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds for HIV/AIDS care and is British Columbia’s only HIV/AIDS Day Health Program and 24-hour nursing-care residence. The foundation raises funds to support innovative health care at the Dr. Peter Centre in Metro Vancouver. A sold-out event last year raised $15,000 for this cause. You can make your donation online by clicking here.

“We are excited to participate in our first-ever Vancouver Pride Parade,” Lilliana L. De Cotiis, principal of the Loden Hotel, said in a press release. She will be marching alongside Loden, Tableau Bar Bistro, and Homer St. Cafe and Bar staff during this year’s parade. “It is important to promote diversity in our community by supporting the LGBTQ community and fostering inclusiveness — everyone deserves to be respected for who they are.”

Located in Coal Harbour, this contemporary boutique hotel uniquely captures the surrounding environment and fuses it with modern design. You can experience the luxuries of this downtown Vancouver hotel with custom-designed guest rooms and suites, with the Signature King Room starting at $299 a night (prices may fluctuate).

Another great reason to visit this hotel is because the Loden is the host property for Canada’s Foodie of the Year, Deborah Son. She will stay at the Loden next month for a four-night luxury stay that was part of her grand prize package from Vacay.ca. Son, a 21-year-old student from Winnipeg, will dine at Vij’s in mid-August, having selected dinner at that restaurant as her ultimate reward for being named Canada’s top food aficionado. Son’s entry to the contest was chosen by Vacay.ca judges from among more than 8,000 entries from across Canada. Read “Canada’s Foodie of the Year picks Vij’s” to learn more about Son’s amazing story and the Foodie of the Year contest.
