Casa Loma, Toronto — The 100-year-old mansion just north of downtown Toronto is a hot bed of paranormal activity and is said to be haunted by the ghost of Lady Pellatt, the wife of Casa Loma founder Sir Henry Pellatt. There are also tunnels beneath the stately manor that’s rumoured to be home to all kinds of spirits. If there’s anywhere to go trick-or-treating in Canada, it’s this beautiful but spooky castle.

The castle is open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (last admission is 4 p.m.). Ticket prices are $20.55 for adult; kids’ tickets are $11.32.

Location: 1 Austin Terrace, Toronto (Tele: 416-923-1171)
Directions: Go to the Dupont subway station on the Bloor-Danforth line and head north on Spadina Road; Austin Terrace and Casa Loma will be on your left.
