Wishing Nunavut a Happy 20th Birthday

IQUALIT

Today is Nunavut Day and this year Nunavut is celebrating 20 years as Canada’s newest territory. Festivities in Iqaluit include a chili cook-off, face painting and a bouncy castle. The band Northern Haze will be performing at the Storehouse Bar tonight.

In honour of Nunavut Vacay.ca is sharing a few snapshots from different regions of the territory. Nunavut is a part of our country that doesn’t get even a fraction of the attention it deserves and it is our hope that Canadians will add the territory to their list of places to visit in 2020.

Happy Birthday Nunavut! From your friends at Vacay.ca and our readers, we wish you many more years of peace, prosperity and safe travels.
