Oktoberfest is taking place from October 5-13, 2012. Vacay.ca Recommends Waterloo Region for never-ending Oktoberfest
If there is one time that you have to visit the Waterloo Region, it’s during Oktoberfest. But if you can’t make it during the festival no problem – just make sure that you visit the Edelweiss Tavern when you do.
Vacay.ca Managing Editor Adrian Brijbassi says at the Edelweiss the joy of Oktoberfest never ends, thanks to owner Lorne Miller and his insistence on generous customer service.
Brijbassi writes: “This business isn’t hard,” declares Miller. “It’s simple, really. You come here, you work hard, you treat the customers right and they’ll come back. I have some people who are in here every day. They’ll bring their family. We’ll buy them drinks, we’ll buy them dinner.”
Brijbassi also wrote a story about the impact the festival has on Kitchener (which also happens to be his hometown) in a story entitled “2012 Oktoberfest taps into the community.”
