Tofino, British Columbia is one of Canada’s most inspiring places. Exquisite beauty, fantastic surfing, splendid restaurants, a precious rainforest, and nature like you’ve never seen it. This photo, taken during a stay at Long Beach Lodge Resort, was photographed by John E. Fleming of Oakville, Ontario. Long Beach is part of the Pacific Rim National Park and, along with horseback riding, offers kayaking, surfing and some of the world’s best storm watching when waves whip in off the Pacific Ocean. John, who raves about his frequent visits to Long Beach Lodge, calls Tofino one of his favourite places in the country.

Tofino Resident
July 30, 2012 at 6:01 pmBeautiful photo, though the caption is a tad misleading. Long Beach Lodge is on Cox Bay, not on Long Beach in the Pacific Rim Park. Also, there are no longer horseback riding excursions available in Tofino or in the Park. The only way this could be experienced is if someone brought their own horses in by tralier. Just an FYI.
