CALGARY, ALBERTA — The 100th Calgary Stampede was a blur of action, featuring soaring entertainment acts, high-intensity rodeo action and loads of midway fun. In the end, it was a record-smashing 10 days of activity that included only one day of rain. The most successful rodeo champions hauled in $100,000 in their ultimate competitions while fans of the “Century” Grandstand Show were treated to some of the best entertainment acts in the world, including members of Cirque du Soleil, as well as a dramatic production headlined by country music star and local boy Paul Brandt. In the video above are some of the highlights of Vacay.ca’s visit to the Stampede.
