Imagine writing this email: Dear Boss, I’m taking a month off. Sorry I won’t be able to finish the lame project you gave me with the impossible deadline. I’m going to live and ski in Whistler. See you May 1st.
Tourism Whistler is launching a contest that will give one winner the chance to live for a month in Whistler and go skiing. The prize includes airfare, accommodations, lift passes and new ski and snowboard equipment. There’s even a salary to go with it to compensate for the hardship of living at the resort and skiing.
Each Tuesday for the next 15 weeks, the Whistler Sabbatical Project will showcase unique and exciting Whistler experiences online – and ask the question: Would you do it? How contestants respond will set the stage for building an itinerary in Whistler that includes activities you’d expect from the mountain town and other experiences a little more over-the-top like slicing the tops off magnums of champagne with a sabre (in a 20,000 bottle wine cellar). The aim is to create a lifetime of bragging rights.
Check out details of the Whistler Sabbatical Project here. After all if hundreds of Australians can live in Whistler, why shouldn’t you?
