Travel Deal for June 1-2, 2013
Victoria has sprung to life with warm weather and plenty of sunshine to enjoy the “fittest city in Canada.” British Columbia’s capital is a dream getaway for travellers looking for activities such as cycling, kayaking, or dragon-boat racing. Some of the best whale watching in the nation is off the coast of this city.
Getting to Victoria, however, can be expensive. The Magnolia Hotel & Spa has solved that problem with its “Ferry on Us Package” that offers travellers arriving on Vancouver Island by ferry a $150 credit to help cover the cost of the sailing.
BC Ferries one-way rates from the Lower Mainland of British Columbia to Swartz Bay, the closest terminal in Victoria, include $51.25 for a vehicle and $15.50 for each adult passenger.
The Magnolia Hotel deal runs until September 30, 2013 and requires a minimum two-night stay. Room rates begin at $229 per night.
Vacay.ca Managing Editor Adrian Brijbassi recently stayed at the Magnolia Hotel and calls it one of Canada’s finest boutique properties. The hotel’s new restaurant, Catalano, opened on April 1 and serves Spanish and Italian-inspired small plates. You’ll read more about Magnolia and Catalano in the coming days on Vacay.ca.
