November 15, 2011: Vancouver celebrates its 125th birthday this year and Tourism Vancouver is offering a special promotion of a $125 Hudson’s Bay Company gift card to visitors who book a two-night stay through www.tourismvancouver.com/125.
Rates at some of downtown Vancouver’s most popular hotels are as low as $79.
The Vancouver 125 Activities Gift Card promotion (first launched in April for Vancouver’s 125 birthday) is back for the holidays to help visitors check off everything on their shopping list, all while enjoying a rejuvenating Vancouver getaway.
The Activities Gift Card – which can be used like cash in Tourism Vancouver’s Visitor Centre to buy $125 worth of attractions tickets, sightseeing tours, sporting events, concert tickets and more – can now also be swapped for a $125 Hudson’s Bay Company (Hbc) gift card (also valid for Zellers and Home Outfitters). Visitors also receive a shopping bag and a Hbc tourist discount pass to make their holiday shopping trip even sweeter.*
Visitors who book the Vancouver 125 package will receive their Vancouver 125 Activities Card upon hotel check-in. The 125 Activities Card must then be brought to Tourism Vancouver’s flagship Visitor Centre (200 Burrard Street) where it can be used to book activities or swapped for the $125 HBC gift card.
