Devour! The Food Film Fest has taken their brand on the road with stops in Berlin, Jasper and Los Angeles, ensuring foodies and film buffs all over the world have the opportunity to experience one of Nova Scotia’s favourite festivals.

In addition to their signature five-day festival that takes place annually in Wolfville, Devour! has scheduled several events in 2018.

Combining cinematic talent with extraordinary gastronomic activities, Devour! The Food Film Fest is the world’s largest film festival focused on food and drink. The annual five-day festival hosts over one hundred events, high profile chefs and celebrated filmmakers. Last year the event drew almost 11,000 tourists.

The festival has attracted celebrities and notable chefs including Jason Priestley, Anthony Bourdain, Jacques Pépin, Michael Smith, Gordon Pinsent and Bill Pullman. The eighth edition of Devour! The Food Film Fest runs October 24-28, 2018.

Several events have already taken place including Devour! The Sea, a fundraiser for the Dartmouth North Community Food Centre and the third annual Devour! Berlin at the Embassy of Canada in Berlin. Another was Devour! The Canadian Rockies Food Film Festival at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge that featured Devour! alumni Calgary Chefs Paul Rogalski from Rouge Restaurant and John Jackson and Connie DeSousa from Charcut Roast House.

It hasn’t stopped there. Devour! Sonoma Chefs & Shorts Gala Dinner during the Sonoma International Film Festival on March 22 and last month CBC’s Ali Hassan attended  Devour! Fox Harb’r for a comedy-themed weekend at Fox Harb’r Golf Resort.

Michael Howell, Executive Director, Devour! The Food Film Fest says he is delighted by the exponential growth Devour! is having around the world. Through partnerships with some of the most amazing destination resorts and well-loved film festivals – and with Devour! alumni enthusiastically joining us in some of these locations – Devour! is able to grow with purpose and relevance into exciting corners of the globe.
