More than 100 galleries will be in attendance at the 14th annual Art Toronto event, billed as Canada’s only modern and contemporary fine art fair.
Taking place from October 25-28, 2013, Art Toronto features special exhibits, unique projects, a VIP program, and multimedia offerings that capture the city’s diversity and rich culture. It’s a place to find terrific artwork and mingle with the creators and gallery curators.
The Gladstone Hotel, the unofficial “art hotel” of the city, has a package that includes nightly stays and tickets to the exhibit, which takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Vacay.ca Discovers Toronto’s Modern Love for Bowie
The David Bowie is exhibition opened at the Art Gallery of Ontario this past week and Vacay.ca‘s Waheeda Harris and Julia Pelish were among the many attendees who arrived for a fun-filled opening night that showcased pieces fron the Thin White Duke’s provocative career.
Harris writes: “As visitors wander the exhibit, the audio guide, created specifically by Sennheiser, provides a unique soundtrack of Bowie tracks, excerpts of television interviews and commentary by collaborators. Take time in the last room of the exhibition, not just for the costumes displayed, but for loops of concert excerpts from different decades. David Bowie is gives us a better understanding of Bowie’s colourful creative story and his contribution to pop culture’s timeline. And thankfully, he’s not done yet.”
